Maria Rita Molnar Matching Grant Feline Spay/Neuter OCPAW Voucher  Program                            

❤️ Maria Rita Molnar was a lifelong advocate for cats, and her passion for prevention lives on through a generous grant to OCPAW for animals in the Jacksonville area. This contribution helps fund our spay-neuter program, an effort Maria believed was the most effective way to reduce the number of homeless cats.

Maria’s love for animals began in childhood. Born in Italy during WWII, she found joy in her family’s white cat, Snow, during difficult times. Throughout her life, Maria opened her heart and home to many feline companions (and even a few dogs). Among them was Punkin, a remarkable stray who became a blood donor for other cats and Maria’s beloved “soul cat.”

Later, at age 87, Maria adopted Cutes, a 20-year-old cat, giving him nearly two wonderful years of love before he crossed the rainbow bridge.

Maria’s story reminds us that every life matters. OCPAW continues the work Maria held so dear.
